Question by Jesse: How am I to know that a PS3 game requires a certain software version?
My ps3 is not connected to the internet. My PS3 is upstairs and my Computer is downstairs. I do NOT have wireless and I am proud of it because a wired connection is safer. How in the heck am I spoused to know that a game requires version 3.0 for example?

The system tells as soon as you put a game that requires it in, then it will ask if you want to upgrade, just keep hitting yees and I agree, but be patient, cuz some of the loads do take awhile.
Happened when I put Mecenaries 2 in, i think CoD 4, and when i put Assassin’s Creed II in.
Dont worry, PS3 is awesome. It already has you covered, it’ll totally do everything for you. My PS# stopped playing PS2 games and dvds, i just played PS3 games, put AC2 in, upgraded, then everything worked again. Just needed an upgrade, system did it for me and fixed itself.
I love Sony, so much.
